I think you should use the original textures with hue/saturation to change color because your texture is looking painted.

That's how a lot of people do it in the No Mercy section. Just sayin'.

Maybe instead of sarcasm, you could tell him how a lot of modders in this section usually keep their works in a single, dedicated thread and edit the first post.

But I'm sure he'll catch on just as quickly if you seasoned guys are kinda snide instead of encouraging. Rule 6. Read 'em and post by 'em.

Honestly if you have the patience to sit there and paint that, I give you a lot of credit and respect - that shows determination in a person. There are however, easier ways to do it in order to save you time! Selection tooling and then masking colours is one option, another way would be to just go hard on Hue & Saturation like suggested. I guarantee you'll get better results with either of these suggestions.
