Hello
in this last couple of days i have been making some CAWs, but the music got on my nerves, so i have tried to search for a way to turn the music off.
theres 2 benefits to this -
1 - you can use your own music while you work on your editing
2 - it corrects the overlap of the custom music that is used with the NMthing tool and the game's
there is a gameshark code provided by AKI man that does the job - partially:
8014F850 (the music addy) 0000 (no music value)
unfortunately there is still another portion to the music that still keeps playing, it consists of some drums
i think they might belong to one of these values:
000e - Part of Main Menu BG Music
000f - Another Part of Main Menu BG Music
0010 - Another Part of Main Menu BG Music
0011 - Another Part of Main Menu BG Music
0012 - Another Part of Main Menu BG Music
0013 - Part of CAW BG Music
0014 - Another Part of CAW BG Music
0015 - Another Part of CAW BG Music
problem is: i have searchd the forum and the ADDYs for these values are nowhere to be found
i have identified those drums to belong to 002a0aa2:00000254 using the N64 soundbank tool by SubDrag
and using the n64 miditool, i have replaced the drums midi with a quiet midi.
I have resolved the problem on my end but Unfortunately , sharing this new ROM with the null music would be against the rules, & also i would like to use this opportunity to get some help in to figuring out how to turn the values/information found using the midi tool and the soundbanktool, to the propper gameshark ADDYs, and NMthing 0x number and vice-versa
in a nutshell - how do i turn this information:
002a0aa2:00000254
in to this number
801????? ????
and this number
NMthing music folder 0x??
information on how to transform the values would help me greatly for the purpose of understanding how to 'translate' tool values in to gameshark values and vice-versa - not just for this game but for others
thanks in advance
