[Closed] Real Cage Match

Since we're doing things around here differently now, I decided to post this. I have always hated the escape to win stipulation that cage matches have. The whole point is so that people can't interfere and the two people inside fight it out. So that's what this code is. Its a compilation of codes that I use to play cage matches and its 200% better than the original.

The Texture for the cage is attached. It replaces the regular cage texture.

This code makes it so no one can climb the cage.

One thing to note is that if the computer has you down, they will try to climb out the cage and keep trying. If someone was able to change their AI to think it was a regular match and not a cage match that would be awesome.

Good stuff! Cage matches are something in No Mercy that has always needed a bit of a push in the right direction.

Very nice! The AI I am sure can be tweaked. WldFb could help in that department. I will be adding this to Showdown64.

Yes this would have to be an AI hack . If not it may interfere with my code to add more match options. I play around quite a bit to make the match initially think it's a "normal" match yet still load the sets for Ladder or Cage.

So you can modify the match AI?? The rules portion could easily be fixed with codes. How did you change it to make the game think its a normal match? Can you make it work without your code for more match options?

That depends if you still want climbing or not.

I suppose I'd have to look into making the cage match act like royal rumble with ring out set to no.

It's something I will be looking at when I redefine the cage match.

Personally I'd still want to be able to climb as a result of adding aerial attacks from the top of cage.

I haven't been able to edit AI as I'd like. I'll need to for the HIAC once I get the escape coded too otherwise the computer instantly wants to climb to the top of the cell.

Where do you guys have all these addys? Can you post 'em? I would LOVE to play with this kind of stuff.

Which addy's do you want? I use addresses from all over the game but most are found within Jamstubbs archive.

A good start would be the Player 1 Map.

I've been looking for the AI stuff for a while. I noticed that in the default move lists for the players there is a gap, I'm certain that's what is in that space. I looked at WLDFB's movelist editor to see if the total number of things for AI was there but there are more lines that I have no idea what to do with

And I'd like the cage to have regular AI with no climbing. Old school cage match style.
