Edge News *spoilers* Send-Off/Goodbye

-- Late last night here on the website, we posted a WWE.com article on Edge's retirement. It said that Edge has been suffering numbness and uncontrollable trembling in his arms and hands recently, which are symptoms of a nervous system disorder called nueropraxia. He had the same issues when he had his neck fusion surgery several years ago.

According to a source and WWE.com, Edge had an MRI done on Monday and was diagnosed with stenosis of the spine, a narrowing of the spinal cord due to the abuse he's taken since coming back from the fusion surgery. Continued abuse from bumping could have resulted in serious injury, including paralysis.

This is 100% real as noted earlier and the decision to retire was made within the last few days. WWE obviously would have had Del Rio win the title at WrestleMania if they knew ahead of time. For what it's worth, that was the original plan several weeks ago.

Thanks for all the memories Adam Copeland. You were a great competitor and entertainer. Health is far more important than money.

P.S. No offence to Del Rio fans, but I'm glad he didn't win the title at Mania, haven't vince learned that putting the title on the wrestlers before their ready makes them screw the company or not works as hard in a lot of cases as it slaps others in the face that deserved it and DIDN'T GET IT??? They kill me with this WINNING the title shit, LOL.

Edge said he is happy he got to say goodbye in Albany because it's the place where he won his first championship. In fact it was in a cab in Albany where Edge came up with the nickname Edge.

Edge thanked Kane, saying he'd break kayfabe and would probably take some heat for that. He thanked Christian and Kane as his closest friends in the business and said he loved them to death.

Edge thanked Lita and said they'd had some great times together. He even joked to the fans that they needed to get their minds out of the gutter when it came to Lita "even though we really did do it."

Edge said he was going home for a vacation and to spend time with his two dogs. The crowd laughed. He was very emotional during this promo.

There was a large "Hall of Fame" chant. He said he hoped to be in there one day and then said "I think I'm done... you've probably heard enough". The crowd wanted more though.

Edge went and hugged his mother and then every single fan at ringside. Awesome way to end SmackDown! although none of this will air.

This gets me emotional just reading this. He deserves a great send-off with his awesome performances and personality in wrestling.

However, in a time where it seems like the majority of WWE's roster are green as gills, they needed him. This could possibly hurt them more than they think.
