Good call on all of those, those are definitely on my list. I actually dusted off my SNES yesterday to play some Super Mario All-Stars, haha. Super Mario Bros. 3 was the first game I ever owned, so it's still really high up on my list of favorites.
Streets of Rage was pretty awesome, it's become a ritual whenever I visit my cousins to play some Streets of Rage on their Sega Genesis. I loved 90's beat-em-'up genre of games..

Oh man Road Rash 2 was a great racer game man.Final Fight for me was such a great beat'em up, I remember on many occassions going to my local Fish and chips shop with my brother playing it on the arcade. I still play my snes console daily and atm, am playing Mario-All-Stars. Man, games back then looked so simple but the gameplay was a joy.

Hell yeah! Man, I miss those days where there where arcades everywhere! I never got to play the arcade version of Final Fight, was it any different from teh console version? Duuude, speaking of arcade games, this was another favorite of mine:

Different times..it's really hard to find any sort of arcades anywhere around here anymore. Are arcades hard to find in London too?

And yeah, I totally agree, it was all about the gameplay back in the day..even the graphics had their own charm about them, a lot of care and attention went into drawing the sprites and stuff, it's pretty amazing what developers where able to do back then despite the hardware limitations. Teh music has to be mentioned too, there's some games that I have to go back just to listen to the music!

We still have a few arcades in Montucky, being as we're 10 years behind on everything here....

@Jazz: The difference between the arcade Final Fight and the SNES was the absence of a third character from the arcade machine, Guy. What's funny is he never made it to the SNES port, but for the Mighty Final Fight game on NES, he's there!

He was the kung fu guy. Named Guy.

Actually cowboy he did make it into Final Fight Guy which was him and Haggar. Dont forget about these great snes games

Yea actually I think all beat em ups made by konami and capcom was classics in the 90s

Whoa whoa whoa, TNAFAN.... it is my personal opinion that The Terminator games were steaming piles of crap. If you had to play them as a kid, I feel bad for you! But hey, to each their own, my friend! To each their own! :D

Alien 3 and Contra (all the old ones nes-snes and Genesis) are still fun to play. It isn't irregular for me and my buddies to STILL bust it out and make a run of it! I still can't beat it without the 30 lives code!

Mutant League Football.... this game feckin' rules.
