Here are some WrestleMania facts that you may not really think about.
* It is impossible to talk about achievements at WM without mentioning Undertaker. His famous 'Streak' lead him to 3 major championship wins, just like Hulk Hogan and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. He has also beaten each member of Evolution and 6 Hall of Famers. This year will mark his 15th consecutive WM match. He has beaten Kane and Shawn Michaels twice each, and Triple H 3 times, making Triple H his worst challenger.
* Yokozuna is credited as being the only person to win a title (WWE Championship) and losing it at the same WM. This ignores 12 others who won and lost the Hardcore Championship under the 24-7 rule.
* Hulk Hogan is the first person to compete in matches 2 different titles in one night. He is tied with Yokozuna for being the first people to compete in 2 title matches in one night.
* Both Crash Holly and Maven lost the Hardcore championship at WM and regained it later in the night. The difference is, Holly would lose it again later that night.
* Kurt Angle has a bitter-sweet relationship with WM. He won all of his non-title matches, but lost whenever gold was on the line. He became the first person the defend, and lose, 2 different championships on one night.
* John Cena rarely losses at WM, which explains how he managed to win 4 major championships there. Only 2 of his WM matches have been non-title.
* Christian and Yokozuna are the only individuals to have won both a singles championship and a tag team championship at WM events.
* Money, Inc. (Irwin R. Schyster & 'Million Dollar Man') and Edge & Christian have both walked out of 2 consecutive WMs as tag team champions. Demolition walked out with the titles 3 years in a row.
* 'Macho Man' holds the record for most wins and matches at one WM. Although his total combined match time is under 25 minutes. WM4 had 16 matches, and they were all quite short. None of the matches challenged the 15-minute maximum, with 5 of them being finished inside 5 minutes each.
* Big Show is often touted as having the worst WM record in history. But let's look at it in perspective. He has 8 losses, which is fewer than Triple H. Triple H has lost at WM 10 times. Big Show has picked up 4 wins, which is the exact same number as The Rock. Big Show may have lost more matches than he has won, but at least he has won some. Goldust and Jeff Hardy have both lost all 5 of their WM matches to date.
* Tito Santana may have won the very first ever WM match, but he would pick up losses at the next 7 WMs.
* Rob Van Dam currently has the best winning streak, having won all 4 of his matches. Sable, the Legion of Doom and Ax (from Demolition) have each collected 3 wins without ever tasting defeat at WM.
* Charles Wright lost each of his 3 WM matches using different gimmicks. He competed as Kama Mustafa, The Godfather and The Goodfather. They were also all tag team matches.
* Hulk Hogan has competed in the final match 8 times.
* Not counting WM1 for obvious reasons, Brock Lesnar, Sgt. Slaughter, Sid, 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase and Yokozuna all headlined their very first WMs. But then again, so did Lawrence Taylor.
* Bret Hart and Daniel Bryan have both competed in the opening match of a WM before competing in the final match that same night.
* Chris Jericho, Edge and The Miz have each found themselves in the opening match of a WM, but then made it into the headline match the very next year.
* 'Mr. Wonderful' Paul Orndorff is the only man to headline a WM but then find himself in the opening match the very next year.
* Every 10 WMs features 2 challengers for a major title. WM10 saw Yokozuna defend the WWE Championship against Lex Luger and then Bret Hart later that night. WM20 was a 3-way match for the World title, and WM30 was a 3-way match for the WWE Championship.
* The longest match in WM history is obviously the Iron-Man match at WM12. But there is questions over just how long it was. The first part was a full 60 minutes, but the OT segment was officially recorded as just 2 minutes, even though it clearly lasted longer.
* The WWF Light Heavyweight Championship and the ECW Championship have only been defended at WrestleMania once each. The ECW Championship match lasted 11 seconds, making it the shortest WM match ever.
* The largest match was the first Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WM30, which had 31 participants. The Tag Team Battle Royal at WM14 had 30 men.
* There has been 5 Inter-gender tag team matches, 4 handicap matches, 3 'Hair vs Hair' matches, 2 Hell In A Cell matches and just 1 in a steel cage.
* Both Hell In A Cell matches featured The Undertaker. The first one with Big Bossman was the only 'Heel vs Heel' match ever hosted at WM.
* This year will host the 10th ladder match at a WM event.
* Each of the following matches happened twice (or 3 times if stated):
- Andre the Giant vs Hulk Hogan.
- Bret Hart vs Yokozuna.
- The Rock vs Stone Cold Steve Austin (3).
- Kane vs The Undertaker.
- The Dudley Boyz (Bubba Ray Dudley & D-Von Dudley) vs Edge & Christian vs The Hardy Boyz (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy).
- Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker.
- Triple H vs The Undertaker.
- John Cena vs The Rock.
* Among the celebrities competing in WM matches have been 7 NFL football players, 2 boxers, a movie actor, a TV show host, a reality TV personality and a sumo wrestler.
* Sadly, there are now 12 WM matches in which both participants have passed away.
* WM16 didn't have any traditional singles matches, and WM21 didn't have any tag team matches.
* WM31 will host Sting's first ever WWE match.
* WM31 will only be the second time in 6 years when a WWE Championship match at PPV didn't feature CM Punk, Daniel Bryan, John Cena or Randy Orton. The only other time was Elimination Chamber 2011, when The Miz defended against Jerry 'The King' Lawler.
