WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross said on his twitter account that John Cena could have suffered a hip pointer during his match against Wade Barrett in Wilkes Barre, PA last night. A hip pointer is deep bruising of the pelvic bone and muscle from a hard blow to that area. The injury can also cause internal bleeding within the abdominal muscles.

It will take some time before he can do any physical activity, and the word is that breathing hard and/or laughing could cause him extreme pain. Jim Ross described Cena's condition as "day to day."

Although it is painful, Cena will not be out for months, and it won't require surgery. It will prevent him from performing in-ring for the next several weeks though.

Also, WWE acknowledged the injury by posting this on their website: Last night in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., John Cena suffered a hip injury. His return to action will be evaluated on a day to day basis

Damn, I thought he would be out longer?? Oh well we cant have it all our own way. :D

Why would you hope he is out longer? Being a Punk fan I want Cena healthy so they can have a great feud.

Sorry wwefan4life2, it was meant in a sense of i thought the injury was worse that expected, hence why I thought he would be out longer. I too want to see a nice feud with Cena & Punk, was just messing

I still wish it was a 1-1 feud and Nexus went to do something else, I am sick of Nexus and Cena. 6 months is enough. Not even Punk (as awesome as he is) can help the dead weight that is Nexus.

Otunga still cannot wrestle
McGuillicutty (SP?) still sucks on the mic
Slater, Gabriel, and Harris are still forgettable

I agree, The Nexus angle has gone on long enough and has its time. Otunga really sucks in the ring, Gabriel has potential, but on the mic they all suck apart from Barrett. Barrett is the success story of the Nexus along with Daniel Bryan, but even Barrett wrestling skills are average. Punk can elevate them but hell he is no miracle worker. lol

I want Punk to whip Cena's ass when he returns, but I doubt WWE will book it that way, though I could be wrong.

I agree on Barrett, he was the only one in the group I liked at least a little. I used to be a Cena fan, until he became what he is now, I miss his aggressive streak. When he was a heel he was great.

Now it's PG so you can't bring back the good old Cena..
That guy actually can wrestle.
From Nexus i liked Barrett and Gabriel.
Still they should stop the nexus thing.
Let Gabriel quit and go to SD with Barrett...
Gabriel could go for IC championship and Barrett for the WHC (since he is ready for title matches)
And heck even they could make Barrett vs Undertaker feud on SD...
And Raw should have jobbers like McGuillicaty and Slater and maybe Harris.
Otunga could go a little bit upper , but it depends on the WWE how would they use him.
Use him like a super heel (beating everybody with no talent) or make him jobber.
To be honest Nexus is full of jobbers now.
But Punk CAN make Nexus better..
Actually he elevated Luke Gallows.
So i guess he wont have problem
But this whole Super Cena thing is killing EVERY good thing in W.W.E.
I would really love to see on WM Punk winning a match against Cena but we all know it won't happen.

PG has nothing to do with how Cena is, he has been this way long before WWE went PG. Also he has destroyed people like Darren Young and Michael Tarver, so the idea that the cannot go back to being how he was is just not correct. WWE just chooses not to. PG has nothing to do with it in all reality.

"Super Cena" is not killing every good thing about WWE in anyway. There is a lot of interesting stuff going on when you look past Cena and Nexus.

Punk and Cena are 2 great performers both in the ring and on the mic.

Nexus is not necessary in their feud, they should seperate their ways.

Now, I'm going to do what Christian did:

Wade Barrett: He should definitely go for the US Championship and win it, since he didn't become the WWE Champion, what means that it was proven he cannot hang with the big boys. It would also mean something for the US title.

Justin Gabriel: In my opinion he has the biggest potential out of all Nexus members. He should turn face and feud with his new leader, CM Punk after Punk/Cena feud ends. And then, at the next draft, he should go to Smackdown.

David Otunga: He could become a single wrestler, but that would not be that good cause he has nothing to do on Raw. He can go to Smackdown or he should team up with someone since tag team division sucks right now and needs extra help.

McGuillicuty and Harris: I'm going to quote a line that Punk used during his entrance, but I'm going to change it a lil' bit.

"What's the time? Oh, IT'S JOBBING TIME!!!"

Punk could actually have an interesting feud with Cena... with no thanks to Cena. I've never liked him, not even in his 'Prototype' days. He's just so mediocre in the ring, and bores me to hell when he gets on the mike.

Yeah, I never liked Cena too, but you can't denie that he's a good performer. He connects to the audience very well, but his popularity really got boring. I mean, when was the last time he lost a match. In the match, he gets beated up 10 mins, and then he comes back from the dead, does his 5 moves and wins.

He connects (at best) with HALF the audience. Look at the opening from the last RAW... half the audience was booing him.... very passionately. He said last week: "Some of the audience love me, some are indifferent" or something like that.... sorry Cena... they were NOT indifferent.... they HATE YOU.
