Mempaks not working

I'm getting an issue in Project 64 (2.1) where no matter what mempak I select, it shows up as totally blank (i.e., 18 slots that say "No Data"). If I copy or clone a CAW from the game pak to the mempak and save, then it remains there as long as I am in Smackdown Mall, but if I leave the Smackdown Mall and come back, then my mempak appears blank again. I think I've had this issue once before, but I can't remember how I fixed it. Has anyone had this issue before?

I have never heard of this but maybe the same fix for the rom not saving will work for the mpk?

I think I figured out what happened. I was using a new code, and some of the addresses apparently have other purposes in other sections of the game. Disabling it fixed the problem. I can probably modify it to have it only activate on certain screens.
