It was a good promo. It showed a bluntly honest side to the Miz. The 2 of them have known each other for yrs though so I don't believe it was anywhere near a true shoot. I do believe some of it did get under D-Bry's skin legit though. I sort of wish WWE could come to some sort of compromise with him and let him change his style enough to let him still wrestle. I mean there so worried about concussions but yet its okay for Brock to hardway Orton with a stiff forehead shot but you can't allow D-Bry back in? Sometimes the way WWE handles certain talent just turns into a total shit show.

I think the promo itself is a work, but what Miz said was not scripted. Maybe the writers told Miz the main idea of the promo, and then told him to expand that idea with his own word, and told him to say whatever he wants to say, as long as it's not using any profanity language. But in any case, that promo is AWESOME!
