* As previously reported, Scott Steiner was indeed banned from the Hall Of Fame Ceremony. The news broke after a fan noticed a sheet with Steiner's photo on it behind the reception desk. It was (correctly) believed to have been a notice warning security to look out for him and keep him out of the building. Steiner was kept out at the request of Hulk Hogan. Steiner reportedly saw Hogan's wife at the airport, and warned her to pass on a threat to Hogan. Hogan's wife had no idea who he was and was left badly-shaken after the incident. Hogan was concerned that Steiner would cause trouble again if he showed up at the HoF.
Steiner has an ongoing lawsuit against TNA Wrestling. When he was released, he vented his grievances against Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan and the company. The company then responded by suing Steiner. When this ended, Steiner then sued the company himself. By this stage, Hogan was no longer a part of the company, so was not included in the legal action. Hogan claimed that he didn't know that Steiner had bad feelings towards him, and that he didn't know about the lawsuits. Hogan cannot be that naive, but he may genuinely not have known about Steiner's lawsuit against TNA.
* Many people were upset and confused by Rikishi not mentioning either of his 'Too Cool' stable-mates in his acceptance speech. We already reported that Scotty 2 Hotty had already addressed the issue, and that Rikishi allegedly fell out with the tag team last year. It is now reported that Rikishi asked for Hotty and Grand Master Sexay to not be there in person.
* The spot with Madusa pulling the WWE Women's Championship belt out of the trash bin was scripted by the WWE. It was a blatantly obvious reference to Madusa putting the title belt into a bin on her first appearance with WCW. This spot was a condition of Madusa going into the HoF, and she would have been denied if she did not include it in her speech. A lesser known part of the story was that when Madusa put the title belt in the bin, she was threatened with her contract being cancelled if she refused.
* Speaking of which, WWE management were unhappy with Madusa's use of inappropriate language in her speech.
* It is reported that the WWE were unhappy with all of the speeches. The only one they liked was the Bushwhackers, because it contained "the right balance of nostalgia and comedy without going over time".
* Contrary to popular belief, Larry Zybysko's speech did not over run. But several others did.
* Management were unhappy with Shawn Michaels using the words "strap" and "wrestler".
* The decision to put Kevin Nash on last was only made a few days before the ceremony. The decision was made because they wanted to finish with someone who could actually pick up their award.
* When fans booed the mention of Roman Reigns' name, WWE management finally accepted that they had failed at getting him over in time for WrestleMania. Knowing that Brock Lesnar would likely be gone until Summer Slam, keeping the WWE World Championship didn't make any sense. This would mean that he successfully held the title for a full year and only defended it 4 times (counting this year's Summer Slam). They sensed that Reigns winning the title would be widely rejected by fans. So the decision to put the title on Seth Rollins was only made on the afternoon before WrestleMania itself.
