Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2 Self-Unlock Patch

This patch makes Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2 unlock itself without having to perform the various unlock steps. All wrestlers, costume parts, belts, referees, options, and the Dome Road arena are unlocked by default.

[Patch File]
The patch file is distributed as a .bps file. Any .bps compatible patcher should be able to use it, though I used a tool called "Floating IPS" to create the patch.

[Target ROM]
This patch requires a Z64 format version of Virtual Pro-Wrestling 2. You can tell if your ROM is correct if "NA2J" appears in a hex editor at offset 0x3B.

If your ROM is not in the correct format, use a tool such as uCON64 to convert it.

I do not recommend applying this to the VPW2 English translation patch, as the fixed checksum for this hack will interfere with the VPW2 English translation checksums. Details on the hack are provided in the included text file in case you wish to do the necessary work. (Though if you're playing on an emulator, you should just use the GameShark code. This hack is for the REALLY lazy people. (and I guess people who want to make VPW2 hacks where you don't have to unlock anything.))

Yes, but I'm working on a ROM hack which will be using 0 GameShark codes, and I don't want people to have to use a code to unlock everything.

so you are saying that we should not apply this patch to the english translated version due to the checksum? will the rom still be playable on the official hardware?

i would love to see this patch + the English translation in one rom file for ease of use.

I definitely need this. I unlocked 16 Legends in the game, along with several costumes and a bunch of moves. I was over my friend's house playing Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 on the Wii64, and everything was normal...until the next time I booted it up, where not only were my CAWs erased, but so was everything else. I was so pissed (but not too pissed) I was like, "Fuck it. I'm done."
