(or what chants which continue to this day) edge and mick foley might still be wrestling without the worry they couldnt walk afterwards.

ecw doesnt go under but never gains the notoriety it eventually got. similar to roh today

the landscape of wwe would be very different. there would be more technically sound matches but the company wouldnt be nearly as popular/mainstream

i got one

what if hall and nash never left wwf in 96?

Simple answer: The nWo will never exist. Without Hall and Nash, The nWo will never exist in the first place.

Well, nWo won't exist. Hogan will be still a boring face, Hall might have at least a title reign as WWF champ and we would have the Kliq in WWF instead. HHH will still be the lackey.

Chyna won the WWF title?

Now I say this due to how many times they teased it:
Chyna coming in at number 30 in the 1999 Royal Rumble.
Her becoming Number 1 contender for Summerslam 1999.
Her entering 1999 King of Ring, where her bracket was other DX members who she had previously had matches with.

And how important women were for WWF winning the ratings war.
Listen to the HUGE crowd pops from the Attitude era, you can hear mainly female screams, hell in a sense the Attitude era was catered for women.
Women in the audience wanted a female to win the WWF title or any major match such as the Rumble or King (Queen) of The Ring.

Would women's wrestling be taken more seriously if she actually won the WWF title then passed the torch to other females (Lita or Trish)?

I don't think that would make any sense, a female winning the WWF/E world title just wouldn't make any sense to me atleast, i don't know about you guys.

What if the whole Benoit thing never happened and his fued againts Punk ACTUALLY happened back in 2007 (i think it was a couple of months before his incident) man that would've been awesome.

If Benoit never did what he did, maybe ECW brand maybe still around today.

His ECW spots and his 2008-2009 WHC and MITB wins would've been given to either Elijah Burke/Kevin Thorn/Johnny Nitro.
About the Benoit question,I also could see Benoit being retired in a match with either Undertaker/CM Punk/Daniel Bryan at WM.
/\ And also Johnny Nitro would be released in 2008 after being given a dumb gimmick, his ECW win that made him notorious was originally Benoit win.

@ maximo : That's the most interesting question I've seen, since it is one no one has discussed a billion times. I think if Chyna had been taken a lot more seriously, we wouldn't need "Total Divas" to create a rise in female viewers.

I think Chyna should have been forced to polish up her style a bit, and then given a legitimate IC reign, instead of her flash in the pan run that she got. I think that the mid 90's to the mid 2000's were some of the biggest steps back for women in wrestling. Bra and panties matches were a joke. If I want to watch porn, I'll watch porn.

It hasn't been until WWE went Pg and were forced to actually focus more on the in-ring ability of their Diva's Division have we seen the quality rise consistently with the women's division. There's more than 3 or four women that can go, now. Even when Lita, Trish, Jazz and Victoria were having their heyday, they were still shadowed much of the time due to some talent-less woman getting the title due to her having a playboy spread.

So yeah, if Chyna was taken more seriously, so would have the women's division, but instead, we got nearly ten years of "PUPPIES!" and piss-poor strip-teases. I'm a god-damn wrestling fan. I don't need WWE to objectify women for me, I need them to present to me a compelling roster of wrestlers.

Paige vs Emma at Arrival was fantastic, nearly stole the show, and if Chyna had been given a legitimate run, those kind of women's matches would have been on PPV years before they finally did.

I honestly hope when Paige gets the call to the main brand, she is used correctly and we get legitimate Diva matches that last longer than 3 minutes.

I have followed Paige since her days in the UK as Brittany Knight and knew she make it in the big leagues. She has RAW talent that very few in the WWE have these days. I would like to see Divas treated as the equivalent as males, but in all honesty I have very little faith in the WWE to actually do that.

NXT has be fabulous. In all honesty I have preferred it to RAW and SD.

What if TNA had not got SPIKE TV? Do you think the promotion would have now been defunct, or would have been in a better place in a sense of actual wrestling matches? I guess you can look at it in two ways.

Such a great What If? about TNA, because I honestly can't answer it one way or another.
I found out about TNA after wondering where guys like D'lo Brown, Brian Christopher (hey I was fan) and Jeff Hardy went, then after watching matches online.
But that was around the time they made a deal with Spike so I honestly don't know if I could of seen them without the Spike deal.

I honestly think it would of shyed away from the "soap oprea" side of itself, but at the same time I don't think it would of been able to afford the gimmick matches that made TNA so different and entertaining,
When wrestling was on Spike you would normally see cage, table and ladder matches aplenty.

What if WWE managed to make the deal with Pride in 2006?
On October 21, 2006, Pride Fighting Championships held Pride 32 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Paradise, Nevada. Shane was in attendance at the event,[60] resulting in speculation that WWE could be considering promoting MMA events.[61] On November 17, WWE and Dream Stage Entertainment officials, the parent company of Pride Fighting Championships, had a meeting at WWE global headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. The meeting focused on the possibility of the two groups doing some form of business together in the future.[62] Yet on March 27, 2007, Nobuyuki Sakakibara, president of DSE, announced that Station Casinos, Inc. magnate Lorenzo Fertitta, also one of the co-owners of Zuffa, the parent company of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, had made a deal to acquire all the assets of Pride FC from DSE after Pride 34 in a deal worth about USD 70 million. Therefore, the deal between DSE and WWE has reportedly been called off.[63]

Reviving this topic for a bit.

If WWE managed to make the deal with Pride in 2006, it will suck as the focus will not be wrestling anymore. Another invasion angle would have happen again.

Now my question. What would happen if HHH was not injured during the Invasion angle?

What if Zack Ryder hadn't been defeated by Kane so badly and was a midcarder now? What if Ryback had won the WWE Championship against Punk?

...you're supposed to answer my post before you start your question.

To answer yours, Zack Ryder fans could have still turn on him for aligning with Cena.

As for Ryback, he might have a bigger ego than Goldberg.

What if Punk never left WWE?

If punk had never left the wwe, he would have won the andre the giant memorial royal or he would become wwe world heavyweight champion.

Daniel Bryan would be champion, but the "Authority" would find another way to bring him down, I suppose.

I'm-a revive this topic hopefully.
If the Benoit incident hadn't occured, would Mr.Kennedy/Anderson remain a top guy after his planned push? Personally, like many others, I believed Kennedy was always pushed aside for something else, he wasn't ever given a correct opportunity to show his stuff. He talked better than anyone else at the time (except maybe Jericho), and had such an incredible charisma about him.
Sure, the way he wrestled at the time wasn't unique or incredible, but he managed just fine, and when did WWE really pay attention to a wrestler's skill back than? Unless they'd jump over some ropes, or be real big, probably not. He's like a blonde Jim Carrey in a nutshell.
Would love to hear what others think of this. :sthh1:
