we have 4 major promotions that could do with a leg up, we are a sport loving nation(this includes a sizeable wrestling fandom) and if you know anything about the history of wrestling in Australia you'll know it was a rather popular country for wrestling and wrestlers up until the late 70's when it died off because the cricket took it's TV spot on channel 9 however in the last two decades it has seen a massive resurgence.
the AWF my local promotion is rather popular and regularly does good business.
MCW, one of if not the most popular and recognizable promotions in Australia, they are based in Melbourne.
PWA, just had their biggest show ever with their joint show with progress wrestling at the star casino.
and finally World Series Wrestling a touring company that boasts plenty of international and home grown talent.
also if your not going to try and develop the local scene then stay the fuck outta it, if we're good enough for a major PPV that will no doubt smash their all time attendance record, then i think we're good enough for a localised NXT.

of mostly poor and working class people who cant afford to watch or go to shows, just look how their last tour went.

I'll eat my words on this one i was wrong.
Quote:

Triple H spoke with Sunsport earlier this month and seemed open to working with another top Japanese promotion - New Japan Pro Wrestling.
"We have an alliance with PROGRESS in the UK, a situation with ICW in Scotland, two very well run and respected promotions that do good business – but more importantly they are cultivating talent. They are not just exploiting talent and grabbing guys to do a show with them, they are teaching talent and trying to make them better, which is what it is all about for me."
"Is there opportunity for cross-promotional events?" Triple H said, "Absolutely, with the right things. It's a blank slate and I'm open to just about anything if the right situation shows itself."
