WWF vs. the World version 2.5.0 (Full Mod)

Smaller downloads in order to update it with the newest files, or in case you don't want the full mod:
Cheat file, save file, and mempaks*
Moveset replacement codes (226 movesets)*
Music files
Additional textures (contains Anderson Silva's head)

This mod contains people from WWF/WWE, WCW, ECW, Japan, Mexico, indies, and MMA who were active between 2000 and 2003. The name is an homage to Aki's debut game WCW vs. the World.

I chose not to use 4-in-1 movesets, except in the case of non-wrestlers and people like Mick Foley and Keiji Mutoh who have multiple personas; most of the wrestlers who don't need any character-specific hacks are on mempaks. I prefer it this way, as it makes it easier to customize the mod to your own liking and allows you to view the movesets in Smackdown Mall. One positive of doing a mod of this time period is that most of the signature moves are already in the game anyway, since so many of the characters were in either the original No Mercy, Virtual Pro Wrestling 2, or WCW/NWO Revenge.

TEXTURES:
-Most of the textures are reused from other mods. The original source of a texture can be determined by looking at the name folder containing that texture file. If you're planning on making your own compilation mod, check the folder that a texture comes from to see who should get credit.
-I frequently renamed the files to prevent conflicts between textures.
-The original textures I created are mostly the portraits, a couple of titles (Pride Heavyweight and NWA Welterweight), and appearance textures (mostly just the heads) for several people for whom textures did not previously exist.

HACKS:
-The number of move hacks is minimal (~25), as most signature moves are in the game already. Move hacks are generally character-specific.
-As much as possible, I give credit to the creators for the cheats. An exception is the movesets. For almost all of them, I used as my starting point either VPW2 movesets or existing movesets from other mods and then modified them; my only totally original ones are Nakano, Kong, Toyota, Hokuto, Kyoko Inoue, Couture, Fujita, Hughes, Penn, Pulver, Coenen, and Akebono.

MUSIC FILES:
-mp3 files for many of the entrance themes; they are about as loud as the normal themes when the Project 64 volume is set to 70%. People with "None" for their entrance music will have the Raw theme.
-Credit: A few themes were mp3s from existing mods with the volume changed. Credit goes to (in addition to the original artists, of course): the Showdown creators (for the RVD, Sabu, NWO, and Bulldog themes) and RandyManFoo (for the Raw theme)

ALSO INCLUDED IN THE RELEASE:
-Moveset replacement codes for each wrestler, including those on mempaks; this will make it easier for people to change the movesets. The characters replaced
-Documentation files - these are here partly to make it easier to customize your copy of the mod to your own liking. If you want to change some of the entrance themes, then it's helpful to know which characters use those themes; if you want to change any of the non-wrestlers, then it's helpful to know which wrestlers they manage; and if you want to change any of the cheats or the roster on the game pak, then it's helpful to know which cheats are character-specific.

KNOWN BUGS:
-Big Show's music (played when using the music tool) is silent.
-A messed up version of the Too Cool post-match celebration dance scene happens occasionally when Big Show (who replaces Rikishi), Justin Credible (who replaces Scotty), or Perro Aguayo, Jr. (who replaces Grandmaster) wins a match. Hopefully, I'll find a cheat to remove the dance scene completely for a future cheat file.

NOTE ABOUT THE CHEAT FILE:
The cheats in the "Keep On" section should remain on.  The "Optional" cheats are ones that some people may want/need but others may not.  The "Recommended" cheats are ones that most people will want to turn on, but which, for one reason or another, I decided would be initially unchecked.

PLANS FOR FUTURE ROSTER EXPANSION:
I didn't get around to fully expanding the roster (although it is already large), but I compiled the textures for most of the people I may add in the future and included them in the main download. This way, it will just be a matter of releasing small mempak updates once the movesets are finished.

CREDIT FOR TEXTURES:
Reused textures comes from the following mods, listed in descending order by number of texture files used:
Showdown
RandyManFoo's No Mercy Overhaul
WWF New Generation
WCW Mayhem
NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12
Project Joshi
WWE Summerslam
ECW Barely Legal
TNA vs ROH
WWF Royal Rumble
Raw vs Smackdown 2008
WCW/NWO Starrcade 64

GETTING IT TO WORK:
Everything that you need for it to run (other than the ROM) is in the Mod folder.  Launch Project64.exe, open a No Mercy ROM (a normal ROM will do; no patches necessary).  As with all PJ64 mods, you will need to modify the location of the textures folder in the settings before opening the ROM (Options->Settings, then Options->Directories, then change Texture Directory to the Mod/Textures folder).  To get the MP3s to play during the game, use the included rostertool.exe file and follow these instructions.

This is a pretty ambitious project from the looks of that roster.

Glad you opt to not used those moveset converter. I hope you'll finish making moveset for those Joshi's. This will be the first save with Shinya if you ever finish his moveset.

I've already finished the joshi movesets. Those were some of the hardest ones because none existed previously, and also because I had to use move hacks. I'll probably be releasing this in a couple of weeks, with the mp3 entrance themes coming out a few weeks after that.

For Hashimoto, I mostly just followed his VPW2 moveset; I converted that, along with a bunch of others, using this tool. The only thing I needed to add was a few more strong grapples, since his VPW2 moveset only has four. There are no textures for him, but fortunately, his face is already in the game.
It's now available for download! The music files will be available soon (probably in the next month or two).

Before downloading the full mod I want to ask whether the texture was made for 2.1 or 1.6.

You know a save is awesome when it gave you a 4* match between The Rock and Albert. I like the fact that I can customize my roster to my liking. The mempack as dlc is great idea and I hope you will released more in the future. BTW, I saw that AI cheat.

Edit: Does the euro region cheat work in USA room? I'm asking because there a cheat that I want to use.

Which AI cheat are you talking about?

I don't know how to answer your question about the region.

Nevermind the region cheat question because it was solved. Some cheat such as Sterness Dust was written below Euro region so I assumed they can only be used on Euro room. How silly of me.

About the AI cheat, I asking what does it do? Does it change the AI behavior?
If only we can put percentage on each move so the AI know which move to prioritize.

I'm not sure which cheat you're talking about. I don't think I had anything that modifies the AI. The only things that change the AI are the move replacements, and you can see the AI settings if you paste them into the Moveset Editor.

Oh, okay. That sets the AI of the CAW being edited in the Smackdown Mall. If you edit and save a CAW with one of those cheats active, then the CAW will have those AI settings. Here's an explanation of what they mean:
https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/914112-wwf-no-mercy/47809861

I used those when copying the in-game wrestlers to mempaks because when you clone someone, the AI settings don't get copied to the clone.

Of course, you can also edit someone's AI with the Moveset Editor.

So it was the same as the normal AI. BTW the Shining Black hack is glitched.

What kind of glitch? Is this happening during matches? It glitches in the Smackdown Mall, but for me, it works fine during matches.

The only problem is the P2 distance glitch, the move animation itself is smooth. The always special cannot been used so I can't replicate that glitch.

Where KENTA?

I made some fixes to the cheat file, These changes are reflected in the "Cheat file, save file, and mempaks" download, but not yet in the full mod download:
-"Specials do at least B damage" works for normal, 2nd, and stolen front, back, and turnbuckle specials. Previously, it only worked for normal front specials. These codes cause any move that normally does less than B damage to do B damage when used as a special, unless it either is a continuous/repeating move (like stall suplex or multiple German suplexes), is a submission, or links to another move (like sidewalk slam/submission).
-There is now a cheat that lowers the damage done by body slams and back drops on super heavyweights.
-I added credit for the "Starting Health determined by endurance" code
-There is a new cheat that causes CPUs to have normal AI strike and grapple responses. Personally, I don't like the CPU being any better or worse than human player. I decided to put this in the "Optional" section, as you may or may not want to use it.

It looks normal to me. I'm not sure why you're getting it and I'm not.

"Always special" will work if you turn off "No early specials". Otherwise, you would have to wait until your opponent's health has gone down a little.

I had hoped to include KENTA in this release, but didn't have the time. It was mainly because I didn't have an existing moveset for him. I plan to include him in the next release, whenever that is. The most recent Showdown had his textures but not his moveset; hopefully, the next one will have it.

It's very probable there won't be another Showdown release.

barskio's nXt save should have the moveset, though.

What about a "Showdown Super Turbo Championship Edition, the new Challengers season 2.1"?
