Back 2 Basics 2012

In case you're not familiar, this is a WWE save NLG and I have been working on for a while. It was originally only at NMZ but NLG gave me permission to post it here too.

It's a project that doesn't use any textures, only caws, attire hacks and moveset, move and gameplay codes (and recently ROM hacking has been added).

We've recently completed the 2012 version and here's the latest DLC released on Wrestlemania's night.

The pack includes:
6 New Characters: the Rock, Kevin Nash, Camacho, Jerry Lawler, Booker T & Michael Cole
7 'Bonus' Characters on a mempak: Chavo Guerrero, Chris Masters, Vladimir Kozlov, DH Smith, Michael Tarver, Husky Harris & Kaval
Numerous updates to existing characters, including an entrance jacket for Chris Jericho & 4 fully-updated attires (w/matching entrance attires) for the Funkasaurus)
Readme file, inc. details of how to use the various Match codes on the cht file
The 7 characters on the mempak can be used via the select screen at any time. All you have to do is go into 'Data' in the Smackdown Mall, leave, and go to a match, and they'll appear after the 'Misc' stable

The save should now be fully up to date (and then some), although it's possible I may have missed one or two minor thing. Don't expect another DLC Pack for a while, it was hard enough work getting this one out before Wrestlemania. Enjoy

This save uses a ROM patch so you need to know how to install those. Check the guides I wrote about ROM Hacking to learn more.

I want to thank yourself and NLG for sharing this awesome save at OSR WldFb. Its one of my favorite current saves going and shows that attire hacking and good old hacking skills still own the show.

Anyone that is new to this, please give it a download and try it out! You will be pleasantly surprised and hell! You can run this on your shitty PC!

Oh yeah!!!! I always enjoyed aki mans hacked caws and love the sound of this. Sadly my work didn't anllow me to watch wrestlemania last night but I guess I can drown my sorrows and play this badass save instead. Rom hacking? I'm not too familiar with that. I am guessing where the actual memory in game is edited of sorts. Soz I'm kinda a noob at certain things.

Only problem that seems to be occuring is when I do a finisher with say sheamus, his front grapple glitches and its like he is slapping. It there something I did wrong or didn't turn on something? Alll hacks are on such as movehacks and replacementsm

Hope everyone's enjoying the latest update of the save. As a little added bonus, WldFb has completed something that was meant to be ready in time for the April 1st release, but it wasn't quite ready yet, so I'm releasing it now. Beyond, the new and improved Kane!

First things first, download the updated cht file & patch, which can be found here. Once you've downloaded the files, unzip the archive, apply the patch to a clean copy of your WWF No Mercy rom using Ninja Patcher or a similar program, and replace your current cht file with the one in the archive.

Once you've done that, edit Kane's attire 1 & change the following in the formula:

Front Hair: 36
Mask: Undertaker (mask)
Hats/Caps: None

If you correctly follow those steps, Kane's mask should now be red. It works for all 4 players. There are 2 minor issues with this code: firstly, if you restart a match with Kane, his mask will revert to its default white colour (most likely cos the code/patch needs the intros to 'load' the colour change, but I'm not certain) and secondly, there's a slight compatibility issue with Cody Rhodes' third attire. If you do a 1 on 1 match between Kane & masked Rhodes, there's no problem, but if they're both in a 4 player match it'll glitch. Again, it's not really much of an issue considering that Cody probably won't have his masked attire by the time of the next update (whenever that is), but I'm just throwing it out there so people know

As I said on NMZ. That Kane update is F'N incredible. Glad you corrected me on the mask being Taker's. Its spot on for Kane's real life mask and to now edit mask colours this brings even more diversity to hacking.

I don't think I have the files here anymore. I have the WIP version I was working on last summer but it's unfinished and don't want to release it.
About new updates, sorry but there probably won't be any. I stopped watching wrestling months ago and lost motivation to work on the save. I still hack the game, but to make this save I would need to watch matches to make accurate movesets and I don't want to do that at the moment. I haven't talked to NLG in a long time, but I assume he stopped working on it too.

'Rapidshare changed the default folder settings from public to private. If you haven't specifically made them public in the permissions they now are locked down. You will need to adjust the permissions for every folder.'
