Hey guys, how have you all been? I'm known as NLG. For those who haven't heard of me, allow me to bring you up to speed with my past history on the internet. I used to be part of No Mercy Zone before it finally went down last year. My expertise in the world of No Mercy was attire hacking. I came up with several hacked CAWs that by and large were well received by the community there. Buoyed by my modest success, I came up with a much more ambitious idea: a hacked save featuring the entire male WWE roster (of that time). I got talking with fellow NMZ member Devlin about it and he loved the idea too. We christened our project 'Back 2 Basics' with the concept that we were taking No Mercy back to its roots, but with a fully up to date roster. Soon after we recruited WldFb to do the movesets for each superstar, and the Back 2 Basics save was released in October 2009. Devlin dropped out of the project soon after due to a lack of free time (I think, anyway) but WldFb and I kept it going, periodically updating the roster, movesets & attires. Even after we both took an extended hiatus from the project, we had every intention of bringing it back again last year, under the working title of Back 2 Basics: Revival...
...Then NMZ was lost, and with it, I lost contact with both WldFb and others who were helping to support the project at the time (like Aki Man). This effectively killed the save once and for all. On top of that, changes in circumstances to my personal life had meant that even before we lost NMZ I was unable to devote much of my free time not just to B2B, but to WWF No Mercy's community as a whole. Fortunately, I recently discovered OSR (by complete accident, as it happens) and have decided to come back to the NMZ community's new home.
Now before you get too excited expecting to see a new version of B2B from me or dozens of new hacked CAWs, don't do that. I currently consider myself as a retired hacker. That's not to say I won't come back to it at some point (after all, Shawn Michaels 'retired' back in 1998 and look what happened there) but for now don't count on it. I can't promise anything due to my busy personal life but I'll at least try to contribute positively to the board in what ways I can...
Sorry for the rambling there, but long story short, I'm back and I'm happy to be here. Thanks for taking the time to read this overly lengthy introduction/re-introduction post. I'm pleased to see that the vast majority of the NMZ community found its way to here and I'm looking forward to reconnecting with you guys again, as well as talking to the newcomers.
(P.S. I'm delighted that B2B has apparently been resurrected by barskio. I haven't had chance to play it yet but based on the screenshots and such that have been released he's done a terrific job and I sincerely look forward to trying it out)
