There has been speculation that the injury stories may be a cover-up to explain her hiatus, however that is not the case. Meltzer also made it clear on Wrestling Observer Radio that those issues have nothing to do with Paige's current hiatus, and that she is legitimately dealing with injuries. Meltzer noted that if she wasn't injured, she would still be working despite the other issues, which Meltzer described as "not insignificant."
