Best Painting app for modding

My birfday is coming up and I decided I wanted to upgrade.

I've been using paint.net for years but I've realized it's boundaries for art(ex. I can't index color :topicbump: )
I tried using GIMP 2 but it's been a struggle, but still it gets the job.

I used to have my hands on Corel Paintshop Pro X ,I may grab a copy of Corel Paintshop Pro 7X.(unless theres a better one)

Basically, we can discuss which panting app is your favorite and recommend it to me

Kinda old school, but I've always used -- Paint Shop Pro 7.

Simple interface, minimal tools needed for modding.
