The reason that Sammartino has not entered the Hall until now is because he has rejected every attempt the WWE made to honor him. Sammartino said in a recent interview with "Busted Open" on XM that he criticized McMahon when he felt he did wrong, but he will also praise him for what he does right. After talking to medical professionals about the WWE and watching the current product, Sammartino said there was a chance, and McMahon had to be the one to sign off on it.
Now, Bruno Sammartino plans to sit down with Vince McMahon in a meeting and said he is happy to talk with him at that time. It sounds like one of the biggest feuds in wrestling is finally ending.[/quote]
