Combining rosters?

Hey, I'm new to modding, so I apologize in advance if this is a lame question.

Is it possible to somehow insert characters from the WM 2000 rom into the WCW / nWo Revenge rom (or vice versa)? I always thought it would be cool to have a WWF vs. WCW mod.

I can't seem to get a straight answer, so I figured I'd ask the experts here. Thanks for any and all input anyone can give!

Yes, but it's complicated. The only way I know how is to use the textures from one game and put them in another one.

It's possible with ROM hacking, but you need to know what you're looking for, and as bluntfello said, you can replace the textures.

Also, if anyone knows where I could find movelists for Revenge and WM 2000, it be greatly appreciated. I'm attempting to do some hacking, based on the great guide that Rain provided. I just need to know which data refers to which character so I can attempt to swap it out. Thanks for any assistance !
