WWE writers are starting to panic because the plans for Survivor Series are from decided. And that TLC - Tables, Ladders and Chairs will be too similar to last year's event. This is the reason why things have changed so much in such a short space of time.

One WWE writer pointed out that this will be the 15th anniversary of the original Survivor Series screw job. There was originally no intention of having a screw job finish to any match, but now it feels like one of the main events now has to have one.

It seems that no-one (apart from Vince McMahon) knows what John Cena's status is. No-one knows if he is actually medically cleared to compete right now, but McMahon feels that he needs to be involved with a major match at SS, otherwise it could hurt plans for the New Year as well as ticket sales.

McMahon was very keen on keeping the WWE Championship on CM Punk until TLC, but does not want Ryback or Cena to lose another title match before then. But it would not make sense to have anyone else challenge for the title at Survivor Series. McMahon does not want to have Punk defend the title at all, but he is under pressure to make sure that there is a title defense. Punk started his current reign as champion at Survivor Series last year. And this would also give Cena a significant role.

Another concern is that the Team Foley vs Team Punk match initially prevented 3 championships from being defended at the pay-per-view.

The TLC - Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay per view looks set to be similar to last year. For one thing, the World Title will likely be defended in a Steel Chair match, featuring Big Show. Writers are expecting a title change, followed by Dolph Ziggler cashing in the Money In The Bank immediately after.

Punk is expected to defend the WWE Championship in a triple threat TLC match, also featuring The Miz.

And they are expecting Triple H vs Brock Lesnar to be the main event for the show. These three matches mirror matches from last years show.
