Already there has been a lot of speculation about who will or will not be involved with the 2014 Hall Of Fame. However, various websites have been advertising "confirmed" names which will NOT be included.
Contrary to rumour, the Ultimate Warrior has NOT signed a deal to go into the Hall Of Fame. Even though Vince McMahon claimed that Warrior was "back in the WWE" on his official Twitter account, there is currently no deal between the two sides. Warrior signed an agreement to be included in the forthcoming WWE 2K14 game, but the deal is with game developer EA only.
Owen Hart will also not be going in. Martha Hart, Owen's widow, recently agreed to a settlement with the WWE. Too many websites claimed that the settlement would allow the WWE to include Owen in future DVDs, computer games and even the HOF. But this is far from true. The WWE included Owen in multiple DVD sets without consulting Martha. The court agreement discussed royalties and compensation for the previous releases.
Kevin Nash has refused to go in. It is not known why Nash has taken such a hard stance. A common theory is that Nash wants to be one of the biggest inductees whenever he goes in. He wanted to go in this year when he learned that Bob Backlund was also going in, due to Nash defeating Backlund for his first major championship. But he became reluctant after rumours of Bruno Sammartino's induction. Now with D-Generation X poised to go in as a stable, Nash does not want to go in for 2014 either.
A deal has been reached to induct Paul Bearer, but the Undertaker will not be going in with him. Undertaker feels that current roster members should not be in the Hall Of Fame. Booker T and Jerry Lawler are both on the active roster and in the HOF, but Undertaker simply dismisses this as "their decision".
Vince McMahon will also not be going in. After inducting his own father, Vincent J. McMahon, he decreed that he can never be inducted himself. Triple H confirmed this on Twitter recently. However, Triple H implied that he and Stephanie McMahon WILL induct Vincent K. McMahon after he retires.
Doink the Clown will not be inducted because the WWE does not like to include too many deceased wrestlers, and there is already TWO lined up for the 2014 class. Paul Bearer is likely to be one of those, but it is not known who the second guy is supposed to be.
It should be noted Bruno Sammartino would "NEVER" be inducted until a few weeks before this years event.
