The current plans for the main event of TLC – Tables, Ladders and Chairs is to end in an a draw.
WWE Champion Randy Orton will face World Champion John Cena in a TLC ladder match. Both titles will be on the line. But despite what has been said on television and the WWE website, no one thinks that this will be a title unification match. The current plan is to have the match end with both Orton and Cena taking down a title belt at the exact same time.
The writers are in a panic because this match was thrust upon them. They knew that a Champion vs Champion match had been discussed for WrestleMania XXX. But they didn’t know about the TLC main event until a few hours before it was made official on Raw. This caused them to scrap their original plans and rush out a new long-term script.
The current plan is for Orton to pull down the World Championship, and Cena to pull down the WWE Championship. They will both be declared the winners and will swap championships. If this happens, then Randy Orton will become a 12-time major champion. Cena would become a 15-time major champion, just one away from matching Ric Flair’s record of 16 major championships. This would also advance Cena’s current record for most WWE Championship runs to 12.
WWE Championship Match Endings:
Royal Rumble: CM Punk retains the title despite breaking the rule that he will lose the title if the Shield interfered. Mr. McMahon reversed the decision and awarded the title to The Rock. The Rock refused it and restarted the match. The Rock won the rematch.
Extreme Rules: Last Man Standing match ends in a no contest after both participants fail to answer a 10 count.
SummerSlam: Moments after Daniel Bryan defeated John Cena for the title, Randy Orton cashes in his MITB contract. Triple H knocks out Daniel Bryan before the new match begins and then serves as the Referee for the match.
Night Of Champions: Daniel Bryan wins the match, but the referee mysteriously fast counts. The title is vacated the very next night.
Battleground: Match ends in a No Contest after Big Show interferes and attacks Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and the referee.
Hell In A Cell: C.O.O. Triple H and match referee both attack Daniel Bryan, enabling Orton to get the win.
Survivor Series: Despite their “No Outside Interference†ruling, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon distract Big Show, helping Randy Orton to win.
Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania 29, Payback and Money In The Bank had clean finishes.
