Drew McIntyre was finally fired by Teddy Long on last week's SmackDown, after he lost to Justin Gabriel. McIntyre has been removed from the SmackDown roster page. Speculation is that John Laurinaitis will re-hire McIntyre when he takes control of SmackDown this week.

- Then at the SmackDown live event in Macon, Ga. the following happened:

Second match started off with Drew McIntyre cutting a promo proclaiming his lawyers had found a loop hole, and with a victory tonight he could have his job back. Tony Chimmel announces his opponent, who is Jon Moxley (Dean Ambrose as announced) which was a great surprise. McIntyre does good heel work by continuing to ask the crowd and Moxley, "Who is this guy?" Moxley gets the clean win in a decent back and forth match. Moxley looked very good in the ring, though the crowd couldn't get into the match due to not knowing who he was.

TDK's Take: Gotta admit I got a chuckle out of that house show performance... But the question is: Can nothing save Drew that doesn't involve 'blowing kisses to men' in the audience? </td><td>

Did I just read 'average' or are my eyes going blurry? Can't say I agree there... :stop:

Most of his aresnal is striking opponents with his feet or his forearms. He used to be good. But then he signed a contract with the WWE.

Remember when he was in a tag team with Dave Taylor? He hasn't improved since then.

If the Nasty Boyz didn't kick the crap out of him during a match, the WWE would have fired him instead.

I'll tell you what. I'm open minded. If someone can link me to decent match with Drew McIntyre (not against someone who is well known for carrying opponents), I will acknowledge that he can work a good match.

In the spirit of fairness, I'll admit his performances have been somewhat substandard. But only substandard by HIS standards. I would never call him 'average' simply because his athleticism, potential and natural heel abilities all combine to set him above the norm.
