Doesn't it affect your nerve system and cause you muscle tightness and spasms? I only have a upper neck/back spine pinched nerve this few days due to muscle inflammation and it was torturous, not to mention the fact that same area was super close to the my shoulder where I had a surgery on my ligament.

It's not that weird. Most people who are wrestling fans that learn that about me think of the exact same thing.

Yeah, I have nerve problems. I have little feeling in my forearms, hands, feet and lower legs. Sometimes I cannot feel cold or hot things like other people can. I was refused permission to train as a fire fighter because I was too slow at detecting strong heat.

I do have muscle tightness from time to time, but I never have spasms.

My only regret is my mother tried to "protect me" by not telling me about it. My aunt was freaking out about her pregnancy one day, and then my mother reminded her about what happened to me. They didn't realise that I had come back into the building, and I confronted her about it. She came clean. I had had trouble because of my neck all of my childhood, and I thought there was something abnormal about me. My life has been so much better since I found out because now I know about it, I can live with it.

I don't know if I have any lost strength. I don't have a "pre-broken freakin' neck" era of my life.

I understand my mother's reasons. But not knowing made me feel inferior. I couldn't do things quite like other kids, and I had no idea why. That made me feel inferior. But since learning about this, I have done rugby, field hockey, pro & amateur wrestling, MMA and some light stunt work, and did well with each of these. Merely knowing about my neck injury made it easier for me to live my life.
