Mixed feelings. It seems darker than the first 2 films. I don't have a issue with the cast or race of The Human Torch and actually think this will surprise people in a good way. You can't get much of a impression from this teaser trailer. I don't like how they have erased the who space travel plot on how they got there powers and used something sort of cubical pods to get there powers. I judge this once it's released. It be nice for them to tie this into the Xmen universe as it's with the same studios. I am sure this will happen.
This doesn't look like a Fantastic 4 movie,
I saw alot of scenes copied from the recent Star Trek movies, and a few of the other Marvel movies.
The casting looks fine, but I personally get bored of the same story being told...
A innocent but feisty young boy who is orphaned, grows up to be a man and joins a team, a freak accident happens, part of a city center blows up, the corrupt government tries to cover up alien activities, some one "dies" (but not really) this makes the only female protagonist cry over almost lifeless body, she has only 5 lines in the whole film, explosions keep happening...
All this with overly bright lense flares over stupidly dark environments, with almost unhearable dialogue getting interrupted by more explosions...
Looks like I'm passing up on this, I know these type of films are popular, but comic adaptions should still be comical in my opinion, no matter how dark it is, hopefully there will be some humor to it...[/SPOILER]
Please don't tell me Susan Storm only gets 5 lines in the whole movie? I am assuming the "lifeless" body is Human Torch as seen in the trailer. There does seem to be alot of explosions and alien activity going on in the trailer. Ummm, I wonder.
