A report by WCNC in North Carolina claims that Ric Flair has been the victim of a third domestic assault.
Police in Charlotte-Mecklenburg were called to the condo shared between Flair and his wife Jacqueline Baines Beems around 9:40pm on Monday. The official report claims that Beems assaulted Flair, but neither were arrested or taken to hospital.
This is the third time that Flair had been assaulted in a domestic disturbance. In 2010, Beems was arrested for punching Flair in the face. The District Attorney dropped all charges. Flair was also once assaulted by the boyfriend of his daughter, but later refused to press charges.
This is just the latest in a very long list of troubles for the wrestling icon. Over the past several years, Flair has been sued by multiple companies for accepting payments for appearances and then no-showing the events. Flair has also been arrested on various traffic charges, including a road rage incident which was highlighted on WWE programming. Flair is also in major debt to various contributors, with financial experts believing that Flair may never pay them off.
Flair was also fired from TNA Wrestling earlier this year. Flair had repeatedly no-showed events, and demanded advances on his paycheques to the point that he was spending more than he had earned. And he has also denied his time in TNA Wrestling during interviews and public appearances. He is currently one of the central figures in the ongoing lawsuit between TNA Wrestling and WWE.
