Flickering Problem

Why does VPW 64 and WCW/nWo World Tour flicker during matches? After about a minute of action I start seeing a black screen quickly flash on screen every few seconds, makes the game almost unplayable for me.

Update: Seems to be having to do something with the apron and outside area of the ring. I was having a match right now and as soon as I uppercut the guy to the outside the flickering started. It flickered a little when we got close to the ropes once too.

Thanks, but this seems to be for old PJ64. I'm using 2.1 and can't seem to change those things on it.
