Gravity MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS

Before the movie :

Like everybody i've seen a lot of adds for this movie on the internet, on TV, etc... And went to watch it, because it looked very promising.

Movie Plot :

Dr Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock) and Matt Kowalski (Geroge Clooney) are astronauts on mission aboard the Space Shuttle Explorer. They are workin on Hubble for their last mission before coming back to Earth, while working they are informed that a russian missile destroyed a satellite.
The debris strike the whole team, Stone and Kowalski are the only survivors of the team, they keep talking on radio, ignoring if the Mission control on Earth can hear them.
Alone in space, how will they survive and come back on Earth ?

My impressions :

+ Sandra Bullock. She is an actress we don't see a lot in very big productions, even if she doesn't bring anything special to the movie it's nice to see a "new" face in a big production.
+ The 3d. Usually i hate 3d in movies because it's useless but here, the feeling of proximity when objects are flying in 3d is really good.
+ Some scenes are shown in first person, if the whole movie was like this it would be boring but having some scenes like this it's original and looks great.

- George Clooney, i just can't stand this actor and even more when his character is annoying like in this movie.
- No empathy for the characters, no really written story.
- Many cinematographic clichés

To conclude, the story of the movie could have been written by a 10 years old and all the clichés hurt the movie. Read most movie reviews and it presents Gravity as one of the best movies of the 2010's, sorry but i don't agree. Technically it looks wonderful, the 3d is nicely used (best use of this in a movie i've ever seen) but in the end it will be a quickly forgotten movie, it felt more like a exhibition of what can be done with Special effects and 3d than an actual movie.
I may sound a bit harsh with the movie but even if it's not the masterpiece promised, Gravity is a must see simply for how it's filmed, the effects and the use of 3d
