In the mean time, I recommend you check the following places: VPW2 Freem, AKI Outsiders or MPire Mall Discord servers. If you really don't like Discord, there is the r/N64WrestlingGames subreddit, but there's no active development of mods/hacks there. Sean O'Connor's Youtube Channel is also recommended.

I'm pretty sure your problem is being illiterate.
Instructions: This mod is only compatible with Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.57-ver5 plugin (The default Project 64 2.1 video plugin)!
Place the 'WWF No Mercy" file into your texture folder.
Place the cht. file in your 'Config' folder.
Place the fla. file in your 'Save' folder.
Make sure the 'Showdown 64' box is ticked in your cheat file! Click them and play!
Soo simple, plow through the actual Showdown64 topic if not. Pretty sure there's derkaproof guide to set up.
