Hulk Hogan continues to push heavily for a match at WresleMania XXX.

Hogan is keen on returning to the WWE in order to collect another big paycheque, but the WWE do not want to pay him what he is asking for. He had been playing the WWE off TNA Wrestling in a bid to draw up WWE’s offer. But the WWE (particularly Triple H) were not drawn in.

At this time, there is no deal between the WWE and Hogan, and there are no negotiations taking place. But this has not stopped Hogan from pressuring WWE into opening up talks.

Among his comments is the admission that he is finished with TNA Wrestling. He has been pitching multiple ideas for WreslteMania XXX. He has been praising Chris Jericho, and suggesting that the two of them should work their first match together (don’t bother, I’ll mention 2002 so you don’t have to). He has also suggested bringing back the nWo, and having a six-man tag match at WrestleMania. Hogan is pushing the nWo idea because 2K Games have just released an nWo themed update for WWE 2K14. However, the download pack will be old news well before WrestleMania.

There are 3 reasons why the WWE does not want to make a deal with Hogan right now. The first is because Hogan continues to ask for too much money. Hogan has an unrealistic grasp of his current marketability, and would not bring in as much money as he thinks he would. The pay that he is asking for is too high for the amount of money he could realistically bring in. The second reason is because of Hogan’s age. After Jerry Lawler’s heart-attack, the WWE are reluctant to let anyone over a certain age get into a match, unless they are in top physical condition. The third reason is because Hogan is not in good physical condition. With his repeated surgeries and injuries, there is little chance that Hogan would be ready in time to work a decent match.
