There is heavy speculation that the newest entrant into the TNA Hall of Fame will be... Jeff Hardy.

It was recently confirmed that TNA had reached out to A.J. Styles for the honour. He would received very high pay in order to work one last match at Slammiversary, and be inducted into the HoF that same weekend. But Styles turned it down because his main priorities are NJPW and Ring of Honor right now. Rumour has it that Christian Cage was a very high possibility. Cage's current WWE deal would've prevented TNA offering him any kind of arrangement until after the Money In The Bank Pay-per-view. Christian's WWE contract expires then and he will become a free agent who could start with any other company right away, including TNA. This was the same arrangement as when Christian joined TNA originally. He signed a TNA deal almost as soon as his WWE contract ended. His arrival in TNA without being "future endeavoured" helped TNA reach a higher level.

Hardy was released from WWE in 2003 after refusing to accept help for substance abuse issues. He would then have a terrible run in Ring of Honor. Jeff Jarrett invited Hardy into a one-time performance. After receiving a phenomenal reaction from the live crowd, he was offered a major deal. Hardy would go on to become one of TNA's biggest stars. He began his second stint in 2010 while he was facing charges for drug possession. He was heavily endorsed by Hulk Hogan, who believed Hardy to be the young version of himself. Hardy would win the TNA Championship at Bound For Glory 2010. However, he gained a bad reputation for performing while intoxicated. In 2011, he entered WWE sponsored rehab and managed to kick his demons once and for all.

It is known that TNA were trying to acquire a huge name for the HoF this year, but definitely not Jeff Jarrett.
