It's been a dream for decades to see the AKI engine source code being released with the dev tools.
Then another dream would be to that some highly competent coders being able to work on it decide to actively work on it and improve the modding/additional content support
And while we're dreaming how about more genius able to make plugins to import/export model/texture/animation into and from open source programs like Blenderto create even more content for it.
Then we're still dreaming, and that's probably why nothing will happen
