Hi guys.
I'm really sad to say this but I think my days as a PS2 hacker/modder guru might be coming to an end (atleast for now).
I find myself way to often coming home from work with ideas of what I want to do, but just end up wasting another evening in front of the computer getting nothing at all done, feeling like a zombie.
I think I'm kind of burnt out when it comes to hacking/modding. I did all I originally wanted with the editor except actually making a mod for myself to play. I've spent so much time in this community, studying and coding tools for modding and I've almost not even played the games these last years. The community legends mod was sort of my last try to get a mod finished but that project just died before it started so I give up.
Also, guys like Arjun are picking up the torch that I had the opportunity to carry for a little while and are currently taking things to the next level with some new hacking tools. I have real hopes that you guys can carry on and evolve the modding even further. I still have great hopes for move exporting/importing.
If I take a couple of steps back, who knows if I come back in a while what has happened? New tools? New hacks? Easy move/belt import/export? A complete and perfect legends patch? SVR2006 editing? Who knows?
All I can say for now is good luck guys. I'm actually quite proud to have had the honour to be a part of building this community around modding SVR which has been something I've wanted since I modded my first SD game (SD2). I knew an editor that made hacking easy was the key to get the ball rolling since that's what got me into NHL, FIFA, PES, CM and FM modding back in the day.
And as I always do when I say things like this, I HAVE to thank brienj once again. I hope everyone knows that he is THE MAN that opened up the modding scene for the rest of us.
And also thank you for the one donation I had for the editor. I earned about $9 (since paypal took $1) in total on all the countless hours I've spent on this, hehe.
I really hope you guys will keep this community as open as possible, so that the scene will keep growing for years and years like the NM scene did once.
If anyone wants to help evolve svredit, contact me. I will provide the help I can.
Finally...
Thank you guys for all your support.
Thanks for all the great mods I've had the opportunity to view on this site.
Thanks for using SVRedit.
Thanks for posting bugs you've found.
Thanks for all the great tutorials.
Thank you for everything.
Perhaps I will feel different tomorrow, but right now, this feels like it is the end of one thing and start of something else for me.
I hope noone feels left out because I did not mention your names, I think and hope that you all know how much you have meant these last years.
THANK YOU GUYS!
Perhaps I will regret this text tomorrow...
