Some websites are reporting that Mark Henry is back in the doghouse yet again with the WWE. But this is far from the case.
Henry was originally booked for a dark match at the next RAW tapings. He was due to team up with Daniel Bryan and John Cena to face The Shield. But now advertisements for the show have CM Punk's name in place of Henry's. Henry is not advertised for any other matches at the show.
This has incorrectly been interpreted as a sign that WWE are unhappy with Henry, or that he has picked up an injury. The WWE are still hoping to have Henry take on the Shield in some kind of handicap match at SummerSlam. Henry has already faced the Shield in multiple 3 on 3 matches lately, and the feeling is that too many will take away from pay-per-view match.
Henry was in bad books with management earlier this year. Henry was due for a main-event level push as a heel, but then Henry suddenly announced that he was taking time off to rest an injury. But Henry's quick return, coupled with the "retirement" story line, has removed any tension towards the former World Heavyweight Champion.
