Jericho has been using Twitter to tell his followers that his latest run in WWE is over.

Jericho is upset at the lack of support that the WWE has shown to him over the 'flag-kicking' incident in Sao Paulo, Brazil. At the beginning of his match, Jericho kicked the national flag, breaking a Federal law in the country. His match was cut short with the arrival of local police. Jericho publicly apologised, was NOT arrested and is not facing charges. While Jericho was not sent home from the tour, he has been replaced with the Miz and Daniel Bryan in all of his appearances since.

Jericho maintains that he did not intend to offend anyone with his actions or disrespect the Brazilian country. But Jericho insists that he was only doing his job as a heel by getting the fans to boo him and cheer for his opponent. While much of the roster and crew were shocked and saddened by his actions, it is believed that no-one was making a large deal over the incident and none were angered by it.

Jericho feels that other top stars have received the WWE's full support whenever they broke the law or damaged the company image. He used the obvious example of the WWE supporting JBL and Eddie Guerrero doing Adolf Hitler impressions in Germany in 2004, breaking federal law in that country. Both men went unpunished, and even remained as main-eventers. Jericho also hinted that Randy Orton in particular had been protected by the company, but refused to go into any more detail.

It had been reported since December of last year that Jericho would be taking a leave of absence before SummerSlam to tour with his band, Fozzy. At different times, Jericho has both confirmed and denied details of his return and departure. On most occasions, Jericho has blatantly lied about his intentions, even making angry outbursts at those who were merely repeating things he had previously confirmed himself.

Jericho's recent comments mirror those of fellow Canadian Andrew 'Test' Martin. Martin was suspended for 60 days in January 2008 for failing the WWE Wellness Policy for a second time within one year. Martin was so angry at the suspension that he chose not to return. He also believed that top stars, particularly Orton, had been protected over the same issues that he had been suspended for.
