TNA Knockout Lei'D Tapa has announced that she is officially done with the company.
It is not yet known if the most recent episode of Impact was her last appearance or not. She was in attendance for the next 2 Impact tapings, and could still appear on either episode. In either case, she is no longer under contract with TNA.
It is being reported that it was TNA's decision to let her go. Tapa has already decided to return to her former promotion.
TNA had been trying to rebuild their Knockouts' division after is was devastated last year. Most of the Knockouts were released due to budget cutting measures, bad negotiating tactics or even pregnancy. However, Tapa was the first in a line of contracted stars brought in to help bolster the minute division roster. She has served as Gail Kim's bodyguard for her entire run. There had been plans for her to do a long running feud with Kim, and to feud with new signee the Alpha Female. But these plans are obviously over now.
