I don't understand the point in a "Johnny Ace" t-shirt.

First of all, he makes people miss Mike Admale. Second of all, the whole "future endeavors" thing will not work on television. Unless, he fires people frequently onscreen, or his named is linked to more major firings on screen. But either storyline would become very dry very fast. It always does.
