Lawler is finally responsive after undergoing "a number of" surgeries on his heart yesterday (Tuesday).
Sadly, the doctors are more concerned than before that Lawler may have suffered brain damage. As a direct result of his heart attack, his heart stopped pumping blood around his body. His brain had been starved of both blood and oxygen for several minutes.
There are several conflicting reports about what actually happened between the incident and Lawler leaving surgery. Some people claim that Vince McMahon went to the hospital and stayed with him. But others are insisting that McMahon remained to finish the broadcast, even dictating Micheal Cole's comments for the remainder of the show. Some are still insisting that Lawler had a stroke, even though doctors have now confirmed that he had suffered a cardiac arrest.
Some dirtsheet websites have claimed that Lawler had died, but such rumours have been disproved by later Twitter comments made my people close to Lawler.
We will keep you updated as new information becomes available.
