I posted this in the staff section but before I get another dozen PMs I'll just put it here:

Quote:

Sorry guys, I'm still willing to help ya'll out here, but I can't be full-time with all this stupidity.
No Mercy is fun. It's one of my favorite games, and yet, a lot of people think that hacking/modding this game somehow validates their lives. When this happens, people start acting like dicks towards other people, noobs get blazed before they ever get a chance to become decent modders, and the over-all composure of the community is hurt.
I guess I'm just tired of one of my favorite hobbies being soured to me through so many people's pettiness and default negativity.
I'm not gonna delete anything or fuck up the board, but people need to pull their heads out of their asses and realize that this whole elitist attitude towards modding/hacking has done nothing but help what SHOULD be a thriving community die a slow death.
Honestly? I only learned how to mod so I could have my dream roster on my favorite wrestling engine, and I'll keep modding because I have a set goal.
But more and more I'm reluctant to share anything with ANY of the No mercy communities because a lot of the modders (not really the hackers) seem to have nothing else in life, and in turn want to drive people away from modding the game because they want to be a big fish in a little pond.
Me? I'm a fish of the world. I don't care how big or small I am, because my goals pertaining to No Mercy never involved the acceptance of other people who wouldn't piss on me if I were on fire.
I like a handful of people I've met concerning modders, but they are the exception.
I live a very active, and sometimes crazy life. OSR is where I would come when I wanted things to slow down and escape my crazy real-world existence for awhile.
No Mercy is fun. People that take it too seriously are anything but fun.
Thus, I can't be a regular, anymore. Sorry, guys. I am more than willing to help with the CSS and board maintenance, because I have a lot good memories here. [/quote]
