A canceled flight to Brazil has put the status of WWE's RAW house show in the country in jeopardy. The brand was supposed to perform there on Wednesday but Chris Jericho and CM Punk both said over Twitter that the show may not happen:
Chris Jericho: "Flight to Sao Paulo cancelled. Mad scramble to find a place to sleep tonight. Status of show unknown. Sorry everybody we'll keep u posted!"
CM Punk: "Flight canceled. Everything just went sideways. Sorry, San(Sao) Paulo, we're working on it. Keep ya posted."
The RAW tour has no show Thursday and picks back up Friday and Saturday in Ecuador before heading to New Orleans for RAW.
We noted earlier that the RAW brand was having trouble getting to Brazil for WWE's debut there tonight because of flight problems. Some of the SmackDown crew is also experiencing travel issues this morning. Tyler Reks wrote:
"Man another bad travel week. Missed the connection cause the 1st flight was delayed. Flying standby & may not get home till 10pm ET."
"From 1st class to economy - at least I'm not stuck in Philly till 4pm though. Now, who am I gonna fight for leg and elbow space..."
In an update on the Brazil issue, word is that WWE was able to get some of their talents re-scheduled on another flight to the country. Officials are trying to get the Sao Paulo show re-scheduled for Thursday just in case they can't get the entire crew there in time.
