The main event for Survivor Series was announced on RAW.
Team Punk vs Team Foley in a traditional Survivor Series match.
Team Punk will be captained by CM Punk, with Alberto Del Rio being the "almost Co-Captain". The Miz, Cody Rhodes and Damian Sandow make up the rest of the team. Expect Paul Heyman to be in their corner.
Team Foley will be captained by Mick Foley, even though he will not be competing. His team will have Randy Orton, Kofi Kingston, Kane, Daniel Bryan and Ryback.
The WWE Champion, Intercontinental Champion and Tag Team Champions are all in this match. This likely means that none of these titles will be defended at the pay-per-view. But this may change if a title is lost to someone who is not in match before then. This does suggest that the rumoured rematches for all 3 championships could still happen between now and the TLC - Tables, Ladders and Chairs pay-per-view in December.
If Punk is still WWE Champion on the day of the pay-per-view, then there is a very high possibility that his title reign will last an entire year. The current run has lasted 344 days. Punk won the title at the Survivor Series pay-per-view in 2010.
