Marty Jannetty has taken another shot at Elijah Burke.
Jannetty took to Facebook to respond to comments made by Burke (also known as 'The Black Pope' and D'Angelo Dinero). It is not known what comments he was replying too, as Burke has not mentioned Jannetty publicly since 2012. One theory is that Jannetty is actually responding to a 2012 video that Burke had made, but Jannetty had responded to it at the time as well.

It is not known how the feud between Jannetty and Burke began. In 2009, while Burke was in between stints with the WWE and TNA Wrestling, Burke made some negative comments about Jannetty on his social media accounts. The feud seemingly ended while Burke was in TNA. But then after an incident between Balls Mahoney and Jannetty, Burke made a video calling for Jannetty to retire, or for fans to boycott shows that he appeared on.
Jannetty had been working a match with Mahoney in his native New Jersey. Mahoney called for Jannetty to do a very dangerous spot which involved Mahoney taking a stiff and unprotected chair shot from Jannetty. Both men botched the stunt, and Mahoney was legitimately hurt. Mahoney swore loudly, stumbled to the side of the ropes, and vomited out of the ring. Mahoney later blamed Jannetty for hitting him the wrong way. Jannetty has since denied fault, and blamed multiple factors on Mahoney's part. However, it should be noted that Mahoney did not brace for the spot properly either.
Burke then released the video calling for Jannetty to retire, or have fans boycott his appearances until he no longer got booked. Burke claimed that Jannetty was dangerous in the ring and risked injuring all of his opponents. This was ironic as Burke also had a reputation for being dangerous in the ring and being too stiff with opponents. CM Punk once said in an interview that Burke was the worst opponent that he had ever worked with due to his clumsy and stiff style. Punk was once famously caught on camera saying "That hurt" after Burke caught him in the back with a running/diving forearm strike while Punk was sitting.
