Vince McMahon was said to be unhappy with the reaction the "Paul Heyman's heart attack" angle received. Basically, he was hoping that more people would care.

Jerry Lawler had been involved with a story line with CM Punk when he suffered his heart attack a few weeks ago. The story line was resumed with Paul Heyman feigning a heart attack in front of the returning Lawler.

It is said that Vince McMahon himself came up with the story line the day after Lawler's surgery. McMahon had hoped that the angle would generate a lot of controversy, and would become a major talking point on Twitter. But most employees and fans seemed to expect that the WWE would do something like this. A few wrestlers did state on Twitter that they thought that it was in bad taste. But the general reaction was rather tame.

McMahon has run several controversial angles in the past to try and make them major talking points. But the last one to garner any real response the "Live Sex Celebration" with Edge and Lita a few years ago.

That's just pathetic. He needs to stop embarrassing himself and the WWE.

Agreed. Vince is fucking off his mind. Thats beyond lame. Its fucking tasteless. Would he had done that if Lawler actually died? Maybe. I do not put anything past Vince these days. He is desperate.

I don't doubt it at all.

Can't tell if you were being sarcastic or not. But I vaguely remember something about Randy Orton using a low-rider with Eddie painted on it to run down Undertaker just TWO DAYS after Eddie's body was found.

(It was not shown in the UK).

I reworded my post to hopefully explain what i meant better. I was dead serious about what i said, i meant Vince had played off someone's death before, what would stop him from doing it again.

You're right. They did milk Eddie's death for a pretty long time. They were using his death in story lines years later, particularly in relation to Rey Mysterio. Surely, if Eddie wanted someone OTHER THAN HIMSELF to be WWE Champion, he would want his nephew and best friend Chavo Guerrero to have the honours. But no, they went to two casual acquaintances.

It was just in bad taste, that is it really.
