<big>Mortal Kombat II</big>
Mortal Kombat II was released in 1993 by Midway. It is the sequel to Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat II was first released in Arcades, then later was ported to various consoles such as Sega Mege Drive (Sega Genesis), SNES, Game Gear, Game Boy, Sega Master System, Amiga, Sega 32X, PC, Sega Saturn, PlayStation and the PlayStation Store.
<big>Plot</big>
The game continues after the first Mortal Kombat, which Lui Kang had defeated Shang Tsung. Shang Tsung begs his master Shao Khan to not kill him, and also tells him that if the next Mortal Kombat Tournament is held in Outworld, the Earthrealm warriors must travel to outworld. Shao Khan agrees to Shang Tsungs plan, and also helps Shang Tsung by turning him back young. Shao Khan sends an invitation to the thunder god, Raiden to gather up his warriors to participate in the second Mortal Kombat Tournament.
<big>Gameplay/Graphics</big>
The gameplay is an update from the previous game, which included new moves and also faster game speed. Returning characters from the first game have also gained new special and regular moves as they now have the same amount of moves to the new warriors. New Fatalities are also added for each character as well as new for Mortal Kombat II Babalities, Friendships, and also stage specific Fatalities. The graphics are 2D, and the characters are protrayed real people. Unlike the Street Fighter series which each character was created pixel by pixel, Mortal Kombat used digitised images of real people which where captured on a camera.

<big>Overall Score</big>
Mortal Kombat II is a great fighting game, personally my favourite from the Mortal Kombat franchise. I love how it evolved from the first game from an Earth tournament which consisted of Earth warriors and stages, to Outworld which gave the Midway team a much greater chance to make things for characters and the stages since outworld is a fantasy world.
I give Mortal Kombat II 9/10
