Move Hacking and Emulator help?

Recently I've been trying to get into No Mercy hacking myself and after going through a ton of tutorials I understand it pretty well. The problem is I can not get the legit version of project64 1.7 (it says illegal download attempt and the fake versions don't have what you need) and Nemu64 requires too much power for my computer (It's old and my new one is being repaired plus it wouldn't even run 1.6 before I sent it in). So I was wondering if there is any other emulator that would be practical for move hacking or if someone knew where I could get my hands on the official version of 1.7. Thanks in advance :hi
