New details on Angle's arrest and statement

Angle's arrest on Sunday came after he was spotted swerving between lanes by another driver on 1-66 East near Linden, Virginia. Virginia State Troopers responded to the call and arrested Angle, taking him to the Warren County Jail where he posted $2,000 bond and was released at 3:31 am. Angle was driving a rental car at the time and it was towed to a local impound lot.

Angle's attorney Frank Smith issued the following statement to the Wrestling Globe Newsletter:

"We understand that Kurt Angle was pulled over last night for a traffic infraction and/or offense. During the stop, he was asked to submit to a breathalyzer test and passed. We understand Kurt will be entering a plea of not guilty in response to any infractions and/or offenses." [/quote]
