No Mercy saves on Ouya

first I recorded this video on my iphone but for some reason the upload was taking for hours so played it back on laptop and used hyper cam to record so iam sorry for the bad video quality
later on I will post a full tutorial on how to get the mods to work and the cheat file
first credit to the WWE save team from here in the O.S.R I used your save for a demo hope that's ok
I worked out how to do this last night got it working once changed all the movesets with the cheat file and it worked great however after that it wouldn't load so I thought maybe the less hi-res files I use maybe it will run better plus I took every texture you will see in this video and placed them all together in one zip folder so the OUYA can read it and access them faster and better because I think having loads of folders dosent help it run well
on this video you will see team WWE cheat file but I earlier I tried CM Punks GTS and it didn't work but last night on another cheat file to a different mod movesets where fully changed so maybe move hacks don't work but for sure the movesets do change I will post a full tutorial on how its done not hard to do
also on this video I left out the menu start screen and smackdown mall textures just to give my emulator and ouya less things to worry about although last night I had no problem and it all worked fine until it decided it wasn't going to load they textures also a tip you will only be able to have one save as you need to rename you save and cheat file the same as the one stored on the ouya but I guess you could just remove it or replace it as you see fit

rite I linked my ouya up to my laptop and open the ouya storage device and went to the mupen64 folder and went to save slot and just replaced the .MPK and .FLA with the modded save file but renamed the files the same as the once I was replacing in the ouya loaded it up and it worked so I now have a no mercy save with everyone in the game modded on the ouya now I have to work out how to get the cheat file to work

I have reached the same stage as Rick has but being so busy recently I have yet to try and get the cht file to work. I do remember finding a video on youtube on how to work cht files but can not find it now. Its possible from what I have heard. Good work Rick.

Now if only we had a way to play online No Mercy modding would be set!

the problems iam having is when I put a full texture save in then activate cheats its not loading up but when I turn of cheats the emulator loads and the textures work great and that's with smackdownmall and menu the lot so I took the full save out and just put Cena textures in and his movesets and it works perfect so what I think is maybe the console isn't strong enough to run cheats and to many hi-res textures at once what I will do is try the full roster without anything else and see if that works I have a feeling this might be more suited to AKI saves

sometimes it works with all the textures in the hi-res folder then other times it dosent I really feel it must be to many hi-res textures for the ouya and the emulator to with stand

right after loads and loads of different tests and messing around with the settings and stuff I also tried loading the game with no textures then go back to settings and click the hi-res textures box then click resume I removed all the misc textures from the folder like start screen main menu and smackdown mall and it seems to work all the time now even with cheat codes a wee tip when finished playing the OUYA well MUPEN64 always come out of your game and go to settings in the emulator and click reset then turn off the OUYA as if you don't when you put it back on again its likely not to load the hi-res so always load the hi-res files before you start the no mercy rom you should only need to do this once
say you was playing no mercy and then quit and wanted to play a different game like wrestling revolution or another emulator game then go back to no mercy all you should have to do is click resume and it should work unless you have reset the emulator in the settings so now iam away to put a different save into the OUYA and try my same method again with no misc folder and see if I get the same results I think it should be possible to have the codes and arenas and wrestlers and have no problems running in on the ouya

I just went through a save there and it had loads of none hi-res stuff in the hi-res folder like text documents memory packs and all sorts of stuff witch I think might slow the ouya emulator down

You only loaded the texture,not the save file(.fla and .mpk,but the most important is the .fla,the Mpk is where your mempak CAW's are located),I don't have a Ouya but you need to install the fla.


Also ask WCW Rick how to put the install the cheats or you may experience wrong Movesets.

you need the save from your project64 open your OUYA storage and go to the MUPEN64 folder
open the save file and you should see
WWF No Mercy (U) (V1.0) [!].fla
WWF No Mercy (U) (V1.0) [!].mpk
so take your current WWF No Mercy.fla and WWF No Mercy.mpk and rename them
WWF No Mercy (U) (V1.0) [!].fla and WWF No Mercy (U) (V1.0) [!].mpk
and place them in the save folder and click replace
then after that you will need to add cheats to the mupen64plus.cht for movesets
rename mupen64plus.cht to Project64.cht then open it up with project64 emulator and add cheats to it then rename it back to mupen64plus.cht then open the mupencheat text document in wordpad do the following
search WWF No Mercy go to the very last and enter your new one

cn Replace Raw War with\BARBEDWIRE ROPES
cd These Replace Raw War Arena With what ever coice you make. Only use 1 option at a time.

first I have to say this code comes with the mupen64 emulator so I don't know who made it
so say you named your cheat John Cena\Move replacement in the .CHT file next to the cn part enter the code name then after cd a description of what the code dose you can write what you want heres an example just paste the code after you have did the text part then file and save not save as then put it back in the ouya

to fine the mupen64plus.cht and mupencheat text document open the ouya and go to sdcard/Android/data/paulscode......./data/
here are a few tips iv learned as this can be really bugging
if you intend to take hi-res textures out of the ouya or mpk or .fla always go to the storage option in your ouya and unmout your usb then remount it always do it because if you don't the save file you put in first and hi-res textures wont go away and will just cause you problems
so before you connect ouya to laptop go to ouya storage and mout a usb then put it in the laptop open it then take it out and connect ouya to laptop always do this for best results
also in the hi-res folder take out main menu smackdown mall and start screen and any other texture you might not really need
arena hacks work and movesets
any questions just ask
aslo in the hi-res folder try and make sure theres no memory pks or text documents or even unused hi-res textures just so the emulator dosent have loads to try and emulate might help you get better results

you could use any cht file as long as its called mupen64plus.cht but you would need to create a full text document with all the cheats typed out onto it and iam not sure if it would work so that's why I just add the cheats to the current cheat file and update the mupencheat text as I know it works
you must need to use wordpad not notepad
notepad dosent work
