No Mercy Website/Wiki?

Does anyone else think this would be really useful? We could start a free wiki for all the hacking info we've managed to gather in No Mercy. Since anyone could edit it at anytime, it would probably have a ton of cleanly organized info at our fingertips, instead of trudging through forums.

I've never tried to make a wiki, but I can't imagine it being too hard at all to get up and running.

You wouldn't need to be a hacker. There's already plenty of stuff that can be posted, to be honest. Between Jamstubbs and all the other stuff that's been done.

It isn't a matter of "can you hack", just seeing if anyone would be willing to throw down on getting content posted in it, so it wouldn't be empty as shit.

That's what I would have to sort out. I'm not sure how wikis work, but i'd imagine it would come down to organizing a portal, and the categories, sub-catergories, ect....

The categories I could think off the top of my head are:

Tutorials
Addys
Values
Move Hacks
Attire Hacks
Arena Hacks
Match Hacks
Interface Hacks
Rom Hacks

Damn.... I know I'm not thinking of about a billion things, I'm hoping some hackers will chime in and help with the category part. If we end up doing this, I don't want to miss anything obvious from the get-go.

Whenever we can get the time, I'm going name it "OSR Hack Wiki", just No Mercy Hacking WIki or something along those lines.

I'd also love to hears ideas, as well.

Alright, this is actually easier than dogshit to do. I'm already fucking around with it. We should be able to get something pretty neato, or at least moderately neato.

"No Mercy modding" Wiki....will also include texturing and other stuffs that you all do...I mean..not only hack, a Wiki for evrything in No Mercy...well, thats just my idea :\

And it's a good one. Actually, about an hour after my last post I had the same thought, so I started work on something that will hopefully end up being a hybrid modding/hacking archive.

Um, I'm not going to give a link out, yet. Still doing some heavy construction.

I have got a pretty decent start, though I am miles away from getting it anywhere NEAR ready for public use. Just like PG's idea, I'm making a site to encompass everything for No Mercy, form the completed saves, to individual mods, to move hacks and other hacks.

I also want a page featuring the legends of No mercy's past, like the Hall of Fame idea, except it would have a short bio of each hacker/bio and their accomplishments.

I worked on it for a few hours yesterday, and I will some more today, as well.

I think It is going to take me a damn long time just to get the saves done and presented correctly, does anyone want to help on this with me? I can make someone an admin and they can join the charge.

If I decline your help, it isn't personal, I'm looking for people very familiar with No Mercy.

Well I said I would help bro! I am compiling a list of the people for the HOF. Just as you said, this will take sometime and want it to be presented correctly.

IMO, I dont think we should just make anyone admin, just because they will help on this. Only long-time members/current mods/admins should be considered.

Not trying to sound mean, but you know.

So, is there anyone willing to take screen-shots of mods and use the greenscreen/blackout codes of individual mods? I want to have everyone in this pose and size, but only for one wrestler:

That way, people can preview the mod at a reasonable size, just click the picture to download it, and still be informed who the original creator is.

It'll also make browsing the site look even more awesome, anyone want to volunteer? I do not have a controller I can access, and won't for a while. If someone does, I can make it worth their time.
