As seen on the 'No Surrender' edition of Impact, TNA has swerved fans by having A.J. Styles win the BFG Series. Now the main event of Bound For Glory will be A.J. Styles versus Bully Ray for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

It has been reported that Hulk Hogan and Dixie Carter have been telling people that this was the plan for the last year. But the truth is that A.J. Styles was not originally meant to make it into the Top 6.

Before the series even began, the plan was to have Magnus win the competition and then the TNA World Title. As late as last week, the proposed main event for BFG was Magnus vs Bully Ray. If Magnus won the title, then Aces 'N' Eights would disband. But if Ray retained the title, then Main Event Mafia would break up.

The recent push for Styles was decided upon by Dixie Carter. It is part of the negotiation tactic to convince Styles to stay with TNA. This is the reason why Styles jumped up the BFG rankings so quickly and was included in the Main Event Mafia. Dixie ruled for Styles to make it into the Final Four. It also believed to be the reason why Styles eventually won.

The original plan was for Mr. Anderson to reach the finals and face Magnus. He would then be kicked out of the group for letting a MEM member win the Series. But with Anderson's contract expiring soon, and Styles having signed an extension, this made more sense. Anderson could get signed to a new contract, because TNA have a habit of waiting until contracts have expired before renewing them.
